The name of this website highlights that computers are personal tools, built to serve the individual, and are not extensions of various enterprises into the private life.
Way too many platforms these days are built with monetization in mind, to collect tracking-data and show targeted ads. Due to network-effects and investments, these platforms become “the default place to be”, while also providing less and less privacy.
This website is an experiment, a proof-of-concept that content can be published at scale without the support of the big technology platforms.
